Last Wednesday we were joined by Montreal Impact assistant coach, Patrice Bernier, for a discussion about his journey as a player, including an incredible piece of reflection from his time in Germany where he felt that he didn't put enough into his game. He also talks about youth development and gives an insight on some very interesting topics: what work can youth coaches do on the mental side of the game to help a young player prepare for the mental rigors of the game? Also, are facilities in youth soccer today so comfortable that they can remove the drive and desire required to play at the highest level? Really interesting views from Patrice and well worth a listen!
