Restarting training after a holiday layoff can sometimes be a challenge, particularly when it's in the winter months and training time is limited. Although it's natural for fitness levels to drop, training sessions can certainly incorporate the ball when coaches are looking for their team to regain match fitness. Starting a session in an uptempo manner has a number of benefits, including moving focus towards optimal levels and sparking enthusiasm into a group of players. Engagement can be achieved through a variety of ways: fun, competition, or sometimes simply challenging a specific technique can get a great response from a team.
