MSC Bonus Content This Week: 4 New Training Ideas
There’s been plenty of new content added to the Modern Soccer Coach YouTube channels this week. Alongside our main interviews, coaching discussions and session breakdowns, we also use our additional YouTube channel to share shorter training ideas, exercises and footage from professional environments around the world.
The goal is simple: give coaches more ideas that they can watch quickly, take onto the field and adapt for their own players and environment. This week we have four new videos covering high-intensity 1v1 development, a directional rondo from EC Bahia, a technical passing activation from Brazil and a creative three-team warm-up from FC Zenit.
Check out all four below.
4 High-Intensity 1v1 Exercises
If you want to develop players who are comfortable competing, attacking space and solving problems under pressure, 1v1 work has to be part of the training environment. This video features four high-intensity 1v1 exercises that coaches can adapt for different ages and ability levels.
EC Bahia Fast Rondo… With Goals!
A different take on the traditional rondo from EC Bahia. Adding goals gives the possession work greater direction and creates opportunities for players to recognize when to keep the ball and when to accelerate the attack.
Brazil Passing in Pairs: Technical Activation
A simple technical activation from Brazil that can be used at the beginning of a session. Players work in pairs with the ball, combining movement, passing and receiving in an environment that can easily be progressed as the intensity increases.
FC Zenit 3-Team Dodgeball Warm-Up
Warm-ups don’t always have to look like football. This creative three-team game from FC Zenit brings competition, movement, reactions and plenty of energy into the opening part of the session. A fun option when you want players physically and mentally engaged from the start.
