When Liverpool lifted the Premier League title recently, there were plenty of experts praising the consistency of the club from a tactical perspective as Arne Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp. But there may also be a real continuation on the training pitch as the new manager brings a similar philosophy towards session design and intensity. This week, we take a look at three training exercises from Liverpool this season. In this feature, we have included the actual training clips below and it's not just in the session layout where you can see the intensity. The level of competition, the quick restarts from the coaches, the focus of the players... all areas that you can feel a real sense of intention and intensity.

4v2 into 3v1 Pressing Game
The exercise takes place inside one 15x15 yard area with two 7x7 yard areas alongside them.
Players are organized with a possession team of ten with four in the central square and three players in each wide square
Pressing team work in pairs and must go together in a 2v4 in the first square as coaches play the first ball in
Possession team are awarded one point for every ten consecutive passes
When the defensive pair win the first ball, they then go individually into the wide zones to play two 3v1 games, again with the purpose of winning the ball
Coaches control the quick restarts and the time
After three minutes, teams switch roles
3v3v3 (+2) Possession Game
25x10 yard area with four mini-goals in corners
Eleven players are organized into three teams of three players and two neutrals
One team starts as defensive team with a 6v3 overload centrally
The objective is for the possession teams to utilize the overload and transfer the ball across from one neutral to the other
If the defensive team win possession, they can score in any of the mini-goals
The neutral players on the outside are limited to two touches
6v3 Possession Game
20x20 yard area with four mini-goals in corners plus three mannequins in the middle
Nine players are organized into an attacking team of six and three defenders
One team starts as defensive team with a 6v3 overload centrally
The objective is for the possession teams to utilize the overload and circulate the ball, with one point awarded for every ten passes
If possession team 'split' the defenders with a pass through the mannequins, they are awarded an extra point
If the defensive team win possession, they can score in any of the mini-goals
